The Canadian man was just scratching what he thought was an old itch this week, when it turned out to be a knife blade that had been buried in his back for almost three years.

According to McNeely, it all goes back to a fight over an arm-wrestling contact where he was stabbed 5 times. A doctor stitched him up, but didn't take X-rays, and thus didn't see the almost 3 inch blade.

Ontario Health Ministry
The Ontario Health Ministry's latest ad campaign is targeting social smokers, equating the silly notion of farting at social events with the idea of casual social smoking.

The ad is part of a campaign, called Quit the Denial, which is seeking to target Canadian youth, social smokers age 18 to 29.

Boy Scouts of America has introduced a new video games award for its Cub Scouts, boys 7 to 10 years of age.

The award, in the form of a loop worn on the belt, requires a scout to explain the importance of a video games ratings system, create a daily schedule that includes chores and homework alongside playing video games, and learning to play a new videogame that is approved by a parent, guardian or teacher.

United Airlines
To get to his dying mother in Lubbock, Texas, San Francisco resident, Kerry Drake, booked a United Airlines flight, with only 40 minutes between connecting flights in Houston. When his first flight was delayed, Drake thought he would miss his connecting flight to Lubbock, the last one of the day.

But the captain of his flight radioed ahead and the connecting flight waited until he arrived before taking off, allowing him to make it to his mother's bedside before she ended up passing away that night.

Imagine a man, for some reason, decided to analyze 10,000 profiles on the Internet Adult Film Database to come up with what the average porn star would be.

According the research, it would be a California-born brunette with a size 34B bra named Nikki, weighing 117 pounds and topping out at only 5'5". And there are some awesome and well-designed graphs to document his research.

Great Falls, Montana
A Montana TV station was the victim Monday of a zombie hoax, as hackers broke into the Emergency Alert System of KRTV for a broadcast went out in several Montana counties.

Police have said the zombie alert did not create panic and chaos in the streets of Great Falls, and said the incident gave most a chuckle. There were some calls to the department, he said, but they were along the lines of, "If a zombie walks on my front lawn, can I shoot him?" There has been no criminal complaint filed by station.

Fauja Singh
Fauga Singh, an Indian-born Brit, gained international attention when he started running marathons as a spry 89-year-old. This week, after nearly 13 years, he announced that the Hong Kong Marathon on Feb. 24 will be his final race at the age of 101.

In a distinctive yellow turban and long beard, Singh earned the nickname the "Turban Tornado" for being devilishly fast, at least in his age bracket.
